Most NFC cards don't point at your website. They point at the seller's, which forwards to a profile page you have to keep an account for. If that company folds or changes its pricing, every card they ever sold stops working the way you expected. It happens — a major one shut down in January 2025.
We write your link straight onto the chip. If we disappeared tomorrow, your card would carry on working exactly as it does today.
